Toto made their Philippine debut with two sold-out shows on November 20 and 21, 1992, at the Folk Arts Theater in Manila. This era featured Steve Lukather on lead vocals and guitar following the departure of their previous lead singers.
The Folk Arts Theater (now known as Tanghalang Francisco Balagtas) was a premier venue for international acts in the '80s and '90s.
The 1992 performance is considered a legendary event for Filipino fans, known for the band playing their biggest hits like "Africa," "Rosanna," and "Hold the Line". Toto later returned to the Philippines for shows in 2008 and most recently in May 2025.
