Brazilian bossa nova legend Sergio Mendes performed at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City on April 24, 2012. Presented by Ovation Productions, the show featured Mendes with his group Brasil 2012.
The setlist included many of the classics listed on the poster, such as:
"Mas Que Nada"
"The Fool on the Hill"
"Never Gonna Let You Go"
"Bridges"
The event was a major success, attended by high-profile guests including former President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III. Mendes, who had a long history of performing in the Philippines, frequently expressed his love for the "romantic" Filipino audience.
