Lady Gaga performed her Born This Way Ball tour in the Philippines for two sold-out nights on May 21 and 22, 2012.
It was the first-ever public event held at the brand-new Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena in Pasay City.
Conservative and religious groups protested outside the venue, calling for the concert's cancellation due to what they deemed "blasphemous" and "offensive" content, specifically targeting her song "Judas".
Authorities warned she would be arrested if she engaged in "nudity, lewd conduct, or blasphemous performances". In response, Lady Gaga famously told the crowd, "I'm not a creature of your government, Manila," before performing "Judas".
While originally scheduled for just one night (May 21), a second show was added for May 22 due to overwhelming ticket sales.
