David Pack, the former lead singer of the rock band Ambrosia, performed at the Folk Arts Theater in Manila from February 11 to 14, 2000.
The event was a special Valentine's concert series titled "Familiar Love Songs," which featured several iconic artists from the '70s and '80s including Pack himself, John Ford Coley, and Rupert Holmes.
Pack has mentioned in interviews that he was stunned to find his solo songs had become major hits in the Philippines, despite not being as successful in the US.
Over 10,000 fans attended his solo performances during his visits to the country.
He returned to perform in Manila multiple times over the years, including a major show at the Mall of Asia Arena in 2014.
