The band America's first series of concerts in the Philippines, which took place from February 12–14, 1981. The concerts were held at the Folk Arts Theater (now known as Tanghalang Francisco Balagtas) in Manila. The show was organized by Ovation Productions, led by Renen de Guia, marking one of their early major international successes.
At the time, America was a duo consisting of Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell (pictured in your image), following the departure of Dan Peek in 1977. This three-night debut was reportedly sold out and remains a fond memory for Filipino fans who grew up with hits like "A Horse with No Name" and "Ventura Highway".
